◽️Instructor Junko Sakamoto regularly hosts monochrome darkroom workshops.   in the rental darkroom on the third floor of the Monochrome Building. We   offer everything from beginner-friendly introductory courses to private  lessons.

■ Experience course (recommended) (2 hours)

For those who would like to try their hand at darkroom work for the first time.

Experience the "magical moment" when an image appears on the photographic paper.

Your instructor will provide thorough support, from learning how to use tools to creating prints.

RC photographic paper 5x7 inch, 4 sheets used (prepared by the instructor)

From how to use tools to creating prints.

Course fee: 11,000 yen

■ Beginner course (3 hours)

For those new to darkroom photography or who want to learn the basics thoroughly.

Learn the basics of printing while acquiring the foundations you need to create your own artwork.

RC photographic paper 8x10 inch, 3 sheets used (prepared by the instructor)

Producing basic monochrome prints.

Course fee: 16,500 yen

■ Intermediate course (3 hours)

For those who want to expand the scope of their expression, such as with color burning and dodging.

Learn techniques for achieving the desired tone and the workflow for creating an artwork.

RC photographic paper 8x10 inch, 3 sheets used (prepared by the instructor)

Using filters, we create prints with rich gradations.

Course fee: 18,000 yen

■ Private Lesson (Advanced) (3 hours)

A special course where you can learn in depth one-on-one.

It also covers advanced content such as printing techniques for artistic activities and detailed finishing adjustments.

This is a private lesson with a date and time tailored to the student.

For those who would like to print works from the exhibition and learn advanced techniques.

Please bring the photographic paper you would like to print on.

Course fee: 22,000 yen
